EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidenced based treatment which is effective in trauma related disorders and other distressing issues. Bilateral Stimulation used in EMDR therapy helps the brain to reprocess the way information is stored in the brain which allows for the brain’s natural healing process.

EMDR Intensive Sessions

You may feel overwhelmed and desire change at an accelerated pace? Perhaps you don’t have the time or flexibility you need to attend weekly sessions. Maybe you need a sense of closure to an ongoing problem and don’t want to spend months trying to find relief.

Whatever your reason I’m glad you are here!

I offer intensive EMDR sessions to provide an  opportunity to heal, live and not just exist. Working intensively can accelerate the therapeutic process and make it possible for more healing in a shorter period of time.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is EMDR for me?
EMDR and intensive EMDR sessions may not be the approach to meet your therapeutic goals. If this is the case, I am happy to provide a list of referrals as alternative options.
  • Are we meeting virtually or in person?
All sessions are conducted in the office.
  • Can I work with you and my current therapist?
Yes, I can work with you in collaboration with your primary talk therapist to target specific stuck points with EMDR therapy.
  • Do you accept insurance?
I am a private pay provider. You may be eligible to receive partial reimbursement for sessions in which I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. It's best to determine the exact details of your policy ahead of time, including what benefits are available regarding out-of-network providers. You can contact your insurance company directly by calling the phone number on the back of your insurance card. I accept checks, cash, credit cards, and HSA. Payment is expected the day of services.
  • Will we meet on a weekly basis?
I offer intensive EMDR sessions. The intensive model allows accelerated relief therefore not having to meet on a weekly basis. Working intensively may reduce your overall treatment time due to the ability to accomplish much more work in a session. If you choose not to work with me intensively then yes, we will meet on a weekly basis.
